A Day Off
A winter’s day, a Friday, and a day off work, because I’d got holidays left to take. I decided to go up to Woburn Sands for a go at Charlies Fourth Loop, a shortish series of 29 or so caches.
This one wasn’t so much a loop as a series of zigs and zags through the woods though. Not very loopy at all. Aspley Woods are nice for a walk though.
Aside from that, there’s not a lot I can say about it. There were no church micros involved, and whilst the caches were OK, none was spectacular or particularly worthy of comment. It was pretty much of a stroll around the woods.
A number of the caches were field puzzles though, which spiced it up a bit.
I parked near the top in a “proper” car park and initially walked south and east into the woods. When I got back from there I proceeded down the west edge of Aspley Heath down into Woburn Sands itself. And then back up the hill. That hill up into the woods from Woburn Sands is flippin’ steep though. It’s steep in the car, and it’s even steeper when you’re walking.
