More Garmin Icons
Work with Basecamp and Memory-Map brought me back to the Garmin Montana. I planned to build more garmin icons to highlight certain cache types.
Back to Basecamp
I went back to Basecamp to see if I could figure out how to use custom icons. It wasn’t so difficult.
Memory-Map
There are a few things I don’t like about Garmin’s Basecamp, so I decided to dabble with MemoryMap.
Eltisley and Caxton
Wandering around Cambridgeshire. Well, why not? Especially as I hadn’t done much caching in 2019.
Heidi Rose Bunny Hop
You’ve got more rabbit than Sainsbury’s. Why don’t you get it off your chest?…etc. Rabbit, rabbit!
Mickey’s Mystery Tour
A rodent with massive ears. Blimey! Who could resist a day of caching to draw a picture of Mickey Mouse?
Titchmarsh
A mildly disappointing lack of diminutive gardening experts, but quite a lot of plastic containers.
Devil’s Dyke
We didn’t see the devil himself, but he left a very big hole in the ground last time he was here.
Hampton Court
I’m Hen-er-ry the Eighth I am, I am, I’m Hen-er-ry the Eighth I am. Making a family weekend out of the original parkrun.
Weston Underwood
Oh go on then! One more day of geocaching before getting the new calendar out.
Derwent Water
A bit of driving and a bit of walking on the flat. Oh, and some cake. Light relief after the previous day.
Souldrop Revival
A quick dash around the village of Souldrop and a case of déjà vu all over again
Stockbridge
A summertime stomp around Hampshire with Pesh and the Happy Hunter.
Litlington
A hack around the Hertfordshire countryside near Royston, chasing bits of tupperware, as ever
Sandon Sloth
Having a pop at the Sandon Sloth series of geocaches to the south of Royston – a moderately sized loop of 40 caches.
Bourn Bonanza
Walking around the Bourn Bonanza and Longstowe Loop geocaching series in Cambridgeshire. It was a long walk.
Close to the Edge
Close to the edge whilst wandering along the South Downs in winter in some very bad weather. It was a near-death experience, probably.
You’re Gidding Me
A walk around the Giddings on a Sunday afternoon collecting a bunch of geocaches from two separate series.
Knapwell Knick-Knack
Geocaching around the Knapwell Knick-Knack and Elsworth on a winter’s afternoon, with a few side-orders thrown in for good measure.
Camo Capers
Having a hack around the Camo Capers geocache series near Denton in Northamptonshire, in the company of Pesh and Dijons
Adstock
Ambling Around Adstock – A series of fairly small geocaches in the paths around, believe or not, Adstock in Buckinghamshire.
Pedralta
A bit of dentistry followed by a lot of geocaches and a long walk. What else are holidays for?
Monastic
Today was the planned day for a bit of monk-on-a-mountain action. I’d been here before, in 1973, but that was a long time ago.
Not the Full Gaudi
We were supposed to be going to Barcelona to see at some of Antoni Gaudí’s more obvious contributions.
Santa Cristina
Time for a bit of caching while the girls had a lazy day.
Olympic
A positively Olympian day involving mountains, castles, stadiums and thankfully few naked Greek blokes. Well, none, actually.
Girona
A pretty medieval city at the very top end of Catalonia. It’s so far north it’s nearly France.
Orwell and Eversden
Walking around Orwell and Eversden searching for little plastic containers. My usual hobby, I know, but a bit of a biggie this time.
MK Puzzle Series
Walking through the middle of MK picking up a new puzzle series. I got Kas to drop me off in the middle of nowhere and I walked home.
Ye Olde Survey Monuments
Ye Olde Survey Monuments was a travelling geocache dedicated to legacy surveying installations in Britain – trig points, benchmarks, and so on
